Calculation of non-linear and highly dynamic processes

Another area of competence of SPG is the calculation of component behavior in the case of high-grade non-linear and highly dynamic processes. With the help of the explicit FEM program "LS-Dyna®" it is possible to solve a large number of problems in which the short-term dynamics of structures plays a role and/or in which very large deformations occur. The fields of application range from crash, impact and case simulations to deformation behavior during forming processes. Here, great emphasis is placed on the realistic formulation of the material properties. These may differ significantly from the material properties determined in the conventional tensile test, particularly in the field of short-term dynamics.
