Stress-rupture test

Development and qualification of materials

In Dresden, SPG has an accredited laboratory available with 145 single-line stress test devices with test loads of up to 20 kN and temperatures of up to 1000 °C. Here it is possible to carry out creep, creep-crack, creep-fatigue, relaxation and stress-rupture tests. Some of the systems are equipped with devices for strain measurement in the non-interrupted test. Our test technology also makes it possible to set load alternations. All test systems are located in air-conditioned laboratories. Depending on the dimensions of the samples, it is possible to test up to four samples at the same time on each system. The temperatures of all of the installed samples are determined online by means of type S thermocouples and connected data loggers. The three-zone furnaces are regulated by means of digital controllers.
